Such a sad time for America. When will it end? Where are our lawmakers? Why are they not stopping this rogue administration that has taken over Venezuela and threatening to take over more sovereign countries? Congress is supposed to be our guardrail against people like trump! Granted, we have never had anyone like trump in charge of our country. But that is what CONGRESS is supposed to do! Stop the madness? PLEASE!

Congress is complicit in everything this regime does. There is no reason to expect Congress to do anything as long as the likes of Johnson, Scalise, Jordan, Comer and the other dipshits are there.

One can hope that one can still try to appeal to their conscience. And if not, they should do it for themselves. Every day that they stand by without taking action to stop this insanity, they are further incriminating themselves. On the other hand, if they did intervene, it could possibly be considered as a mitigating factor at a trial.

Congress is not doing anything because Mike Johnson is the Speaker, a Republican. When you blame “Congress”, you are not blaming the specific entity responsible which is the Republican speaker and most if not all of that party’s caucus. The Democrats only have power when they can get Republicans to cross the aisle which they are currently doing on Obamacare enhanced subsidies.

When you use the general term “Congress” you misrepresent the situation. If Democrats were in the majority, they would have the ability or authority to act. We don’t have many things in this country and/or losing things we cherish because people forget this.

Sadly, I'm in highly gerrymandered Ohio and we have the two worst Senators, Bernie Moreno and Jon Husted. They answer every email with the same canned response no matter what the topic. Ohioans are sick and tired of Republicans constantly overriding the will of the voters. They changed the ballot language at the last minute on a Citizens' Referendum bill to abolish partisan Gerrymandering and it so badly confused the voters that it FAILED. Voters also voted to approve regulated marijuana for commercial sales to keep the taxes in Ohio, but now Republicans are attempting change that legislation also.

Democrats Senator Sherrod Brown (running against Husted) and Dr. Amy Acton (running against billionaire Vivek Ramaswamy) will be getting my vote and I hope the votes of the majority of Ohioans. We voted for Obama TWICE. We used to be a swing state. Now, my state fails to address the needs of Ohioans UNLESS one is a billionaire.

As an alternative, I think it would be fitting to have Rrpresentatives and Senators required to wear patches of their corporate and wealthy sponsors on their coats while in session — just like NASCAR drivers display the identities of their financial sponsors.

I too was a Neurosurgery RN but I have been retired for years now but I think that I need to go back and do something else...maybe do some mission work by trying to bring together like minded healthcare professionals and clergy to make some changes at our local and state levels as well as the national area.... which for me seems easier than taking on the Alabama constituents where I have lived my entire life. Being a blue dot in a sea of blood red can be scary and daunting all at once. We have Tubberville claiming that he is going to run for governor of Alabama but he resides in Florida so there's that!! If I knew anyone who could get in touch with Terri Saban....yes Nick's wife, I would beg, borrow and raise money like there's no tomorrow if we could get her to run as our first Lady Governor of Alabama, meemaw doesn't count....think how much those two human beings have already done for our state, that's why I wouldn't dare mention this about Coach Saban running, he has done more for this state than any other person that I have known of or read about and I'm almost 62 years old!! Not that Ms. Terri hasn't been the true driving force behind it all, just ask Nick,he will tell you all about it but Coach has put in more than we can ask of any one human, most especially because of the damn annoying media and their stupid questions which send him over the edge and we want him to be around a long, long time for those sweet grandbaby's. There are some really good and caring people in our state, but sadly those who I have approached about it don't like politics nor does he have any experience, yet but he just got married and she is a hell of a woman who might change his mind one day after they start having children of their own. He has a great heart, has name recognition and he is not a liar nor a thief!! He's only 25.... so I will not be giving up on him or his wife for that matter, but we have to get the people that are qualified and would do a great service for our country, interested in doing this very difficult and yes hard as hell task!!!! What would it take for someone to get you to accept an unlimited amount of resources in order to run for Governor of any given state? Pick one.
