ICE Fatally Shoots US Citizen in Minneapolis
Mayor Jacob Frey tells ICE to “Get the f--k out” after agents murdered a US citizen in broad daylight while Trump blames the "Radical Left"
What happened
ICE agents fatally shot a 37 year-old woman during an enforcement operation Wednesday morning.
According to reporting by The Washington Post, the woman was a U.S. citizen, was not the subject of any legal investigation, and was acting as a legal observer.

What they’re saying
DHS falsely claimed the shooting was “self defense,” alleging that the “rioters” were attacking ICE officers, and that the woman tried to run them over with her car. Spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin called it an “act of domestic terrorism.”
Trump tried to spin it in a Truth Social post completely divorced from reality.
To describe this as a stream of lies doesn’t even begin to capture the scale of the manipulation going on. The video footage, which was reviewed by city officials, clearly shows the woman backing up to avoid the officer before driving away. ICE agents had absolutely nothing to defend themselves from.
Trump’s framing of murderers as heroes and the victim and innocent bystanders as violent radicals is textbook propaganda.
The response
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey addressed the government’s blatant lies at a press conference, saying the video flatly contradicts the “self defense” claim.
Mayor Frey had a clear message for ICE.
“Get the fuck out of Minneapolis. We do not want you here.”
He called it “reckless.”
“As a 22 year homicide prosecutor, including chief of homicide at the D.C. U.S. Attorney’s Office, is what I see on that tape looks like a murder without any legal justification or excuse or defense, including self defense,” prosecutor Glenn Kirschner said in my interview with him today.
What happens next
What transpired here appears to be actionable criminal homicide, according to Glenn.
“That does not look like a justified use of deadly force,” he said.
Legally, there’s the possibility of both a federal criminal investigation and prosecution, and a state investigation and prosecution.
“I don’t think any of us are foolish enough to believe that Kash Patel’s FBI will conduct a legitimate full, fair investigation of this incident. If it did happen, Donald Trump would simply pardon him because in Donald Trump’s book, he’s already a hero based on that statement that Trump issued,” Glenn said.
If the state brings charges, the Federal Officer will probably try to get the case moved to Federal court where he would try to make the argument for “qualified immunity,” that he should be immune from prosecution as a Federal officer engaged in the “official duties” of the office. I don’t know of any office where the “official duties” include murder.
It’s likely his argument will fail, and federal prosecutors will decline to bring federal charges. See earlier: Kash Patel. Nevermind Pam Bondi, who’s even less likely to acknowledge anything happened at all, let alone bring charges.
“If this person ultimately is tried on those charges in federal court, well then the victim will have her day - her family - because she didn’t survive the incident, will have their day in court and hopefully justice will be done based on the evidence and the law.”
What this means
We’ve crossed the Rubicon. We’ve gone from immigration enforcement to something much darker. We’re in a full-on dystopian nightmare.
ICE has executed a woman in a suburban neighborhood, on a Wednesday morning. She wasn’t the subject of any legal investigation. She was there as a peaceful legal observer. She was there to protect her community from exactly this.
ICE claims in its own mission statement that the whole point of the organization is to “ensure the safety of the public and our communities.” In what world does this ensure public safety? I can’t see how a community could possibly be protected by the same people who are actively coming to kill them.
Until and unless there is legitimate accountability for these thugs, they will continue to operate as the American SS. They’re the real domestic terrorists, and no amount of spin or propaganda from this administration will erase this horrifying stain on American history.
Can someone please tell me where the "F" is Congress? What is happening for the Love of God ... get off your asses and do something. We are in crisis and our people are dying because of a madmen and his evil cabinet. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Congress grow some balls!
We probably need some sort of plan to move on in our protests and resistance. It’s clear we are no longer safe in our nation. Regardless, we must continue to stand up to this regime and take our country back.
