What a great debate. I have to say it: Anyone who can still support Trump after seeing the stark contrast between the caliber of these two candidates is (a) ignorant, (b) deluded, and/or (c) immoral. I will be proud to call Kamala Harris “Madam President.” Yes, there is still a battle to be waged. This skirmish was a decisive victory for those of us who cherish freedom. Just as the Revolution began with what Emerson called “the shot heard ‘round the world,” so too will Vice President Harris’ words be heard by weary, uneasy nations. We have found the leader to free us from encroaching fascism. And we’re not turning back.

I freely admit to being very anxious about this, but as soon as she strode across the stage ( and cornered him) to introduce herself and shake his hand, I knew it would be ok.
His reticence to stand face to face with a much smaller person - a woman, or "prey" to a sexual abuser - demonstrated just how mentally weak he really is. Both as a bully and a human being. He was scared before he even stepped on that stage. Putin must look at that toupée and think how good it would be for mopping his floor with.
I watched it muted, following the comments on X. It was clear who was in control, and it wasn't Trump. Taylor Swift with the coup de grace. As I like to say to Trump supporters - that's your guy. Too scared to even lift his head to look her in the face. Eyes darting around looking for help. Just imagine one of them with Putin, hammering out the details of Russia's unconditional surrender in Ukraine. In Israel, getting the hostages home and finding a Palestinian homeland, throwing Hamas out like the trash they are. Speaking with a person in the wreckage of their home following a land falling hurricane. You still want Trump? That's your guy.

I'm sure you remember Big Jessie's horribly misogynistic comment on Fox, about what would happen in the command room if Kamala was in charge. Anyone still fancy their chances after last night? I can see only one person being taken advantage of, time and again... and it's not the Joyful Warrior.

I absolutely love what you do, I have a lot of respect for the work that you do. You speak for many people who don't feel like they have a voice, and you have given it back to us. It really means so much. I didn't get to partake in the polling about whether or not we saw as many signs in our neighborhood as we did before, so I can tell you that now, where there wasn't a house without signs before, today, I only saw two. They might just be afraid to support him, but I doubt it. There's quite a few of outspoken women around here, so I don't know if it could be they are just going along with their husbands? I just don't know. Either way, we'll see in November. God please don't let him near the white house ever again. It's that thing about when someone comes right out and tells you exactly who & what they are..,.. you better start listening..... especially when they say it repeatedly. Aside from everything I just said, I don't know if it's just bc I am too old, or just ignorant when it comes to politics, bc I have never paid as close attention as I have until the past 10 YEARS.
