At least I have been noticing more and more dems appearing on independent media podcasts and YouTube videos. It's a start. Thank you, BTC, for creating this opportunity for our law makers to learn and grow - messaging can't just be left to AOC and Jasmine Crockett - it's everyone's job.

Snoopy's avatar

I want to marry Jasmine even though I'm 77. She's a star in my book. She has more balls (nuts or whatever) than all the men in Congress 😘

HMarquee's avatar

I’m 68, my husband 81, we love Jasmine and AOC. We say the exact same thing that those women have balls!

GenCrit in N. California's avatar

Maybe it's long overdue we all acknowledge female and women-of-color leadership qualities: AOC and Jasmine Crockett are two in a long lineage of great minds, insights, integrity, and courage.

GenCrit in N. California's avatar

Actually, what I meant to write is how about we just say these women have guts, and skip the male anatomy. After all, there are plenty of members of Congress with actual balls and no courage. And plenty with no balls and actual courage.

Snoopy's avatar

Apologies if it offended you..It quite a common phrase In the UK

GenCrit in N. California's avatar

TY. I used to say it myself. It is quite common in the US, too.

I wish you continued success and I support everything you do in every way I possibly can. I'm 75 and have been an advocate for peace, love and civil rights since my 3 days at Woodstock. America is worth fighting for and I THANK YOU for all your doing to win this fight.

Thank you! This is a vital part of what needs to keep happening. I am grateful to you for your journalism and your voice.

I love this. I saw many of your interviews with many of the democrats and it was so good to hear from Senators or people from the House, to actually hear what they are doing and hear that they are very angry and want to fight back. That gave me a lot of hope. ā¤ļø

M D's avatar

I agree. Democrats must flood all media, especially right wing outlets to sound the alarm about what damage the Trump Administration is doing. We should also remind Americans about our values and the achievements we have made For The People. Stop the bro Oligarchy!

Sal Teodoro's avatar

I’ve been seeing your interviews on YouTube. Glad to see Democrats explain what they are doing and what they will do for the American people. We are going to need more peaceful protests, large ones, to show that this is America and we don’t live under a king, dictator, or authoritarianism. The mainstream media is dead so independent media is what we need. Thanks Brian. šŸ’™šŸ’™šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡øšŸ‡ŗšŸ‡øāœŠšŸ½āœŠšŸ½

GenCrit in N. California's avatar

I agree. We need peaceful protests in every city, every weekend, Saturday or Sunday, until these dangerous grifters are out of office and can no longer rob and unjustly mass-fire their constituents, trample the People's House, and destroy our democracy.

Which day is best: Saturday or Sunday? And at what time: 10 am or noon? This is a straw poll.

Sal Teodoro's avatar

Saturday works for me at noon. They have to be everywhere. We, the people, run the country, not oligarchs.

GenCrit in N. California's avatar

Thanks for your reply. I agree with you.

Sal Teodoro's avatar

I’m 55 and on SSDI so I’d go everyday because it’s sickening but I know people have to work so that’s why I suggested Sat., Sun.

Joy Reynolds's avatar

Every day, take people to your representative's office to make sure they know what the people are thinking.

Sal Teodoro's avatar

I call, email, message him and at first he’d send me these ridiculous letters through email. That all stopped now because he’s a spineless Republican who I already told that I’ll make sure he’s not reelected.

Joy Reynolds's avatar

I'm in Texas, and all my reps are Repubs...

But showing up in person is louder, and bringing different people makes more impact than one repetitive lone voice.

I have noticed that there are more Democrats willing to take the leap to Independent media. Good on them because they will NOT get on mainstream media. I love how the independents are coming together for the good of our Country. I am still waiting to hear what the Dems are doing to stop or at least slow down the trump/musk madness.

GenCrit in N. California's avatar

Yes! I've started referring to them as Pres. El-Don, for short, but I also like your phrase, "the trump/musk madness." And their DODG-y team.

Andy's avatar

Fight the good fight, Brian. I'm going to write my senators and congresswoman about this. Heck, Corey Booker (I'm a proud Jersey-boy) is the supposed social media guru for the Dem senators. A disappointing reality, but maybe he'll see the light and partner up with you.

Schmendryck's avatar

We will need to do more than hope, far too many in Democratic party leadership can politely only be called Too Polite when the proto-fascists are anything but.

Andy's avatar

Agreed!!! The Dark Woke movement is a great proxie for legislators who want and maybe need to maintain a level of civility. It's like how presidents have used their VPs as attack dogs while staying above the fray. Also, the Dark Wokers are reaching a constituency that doesn't get their information from mainstream media in a way they might respond to.

GenCrit in N. California's avatar

Yes. And the Dems are too passive.

Cece's avatar

How else can we promote Brian's great idea of connecting indie media with senators and congresspeople?

Karen Burke Morison's avatar

I was thinking about Booker, having seen him speak out. Then he shows up on the Senate floor, where he’s been talking for the last 16 hours! Going after Trump and Musk! He is great. Write and thank him!!!!

Yvette's avatar

BTC DOING SOMETHING! YESSS! Thank you Brian!

Thank you for what you do Mr. Cohen. As soon as tRump and Musk stop threatening my Social Security income I'll be happy to become a paid member. As it is there's home maintenance to be done, taxes to pay and I'm retired.

I wanted to let you know that on Saturday 3/09/25 I received a copy of the Epoch Times, which to my knowledge is a lack-of-news-paper that supports the Falun Gong, (China), directly to my mailbox here at the house. WHO paid for that to happen? Strange how fascists in D.C. want to get rid of Tik Tok because China is an enemy and yet those same fascists in D.C. spent $$$$ for the USPS to hand-deliver the Epoch Times to Michigan residents so it can spread it's misinformation. When AT&T owns CNN outright, I don't think anyone is getting the facts any longer.

Now that Speaker Johnson has called off all Republican Town Hall meetings, wouldn’t it be a good time for Democrats to hold regular Town Hall meetings in their districts? This is not a substitute for social media presence but an addition to.

GenCrit in N. California's avatar

Great idea! Dem townhalls in GOP districts. lol. Show the people who care about them and are willing to listen to them. It will also help Dems listen better to the public, which is much-needed. They gave stopped representing working class Americans, as they should.

Katherine Stenson-Lunt's avatar

Thisis great news! Well Done. Thank you BTC!

As a species we humans continue to repeat history. This moment we find ourselves in has happened before in our country. The only difference is that we are a bigger country, and technology has imposed itself as yet another tool to communicate with.

I applaud your willingness to try something new, because we must break the cycle we continue to repeat. It’s time for us to become unpredictable in our approach in order to make a difference now. This is the only way we can instigate real change, and move beyond the status quo.

I am very excited to hear about this success.

I clicked ā€œManage My Subscriptionā€ and got a message ā€œYou cannot manage your subscription from the app.ā€ This seems odd. Do you know why this is so and how to manage it outside the app?

Anne Ferrell Quillen's avatar

You have to go to the Substack website to create a paid subscription. I wish it wasn’t like that - it’s inconvenient and no doubt creators could get more paid subscribers if they could contribute on the app. šŸ˜‘.

Tobias's avatar

This is 100% correct. A lot of apps do this to avoid the cut Apple and Google take from the app publishers when you make in app purchases.

Nancy G's avatar

Thank you. Good to know!

Just Me's avatar

At this time, with all the illegality and hacking, etc. that's going on, it's probably better for people who do not agree with musk and tRump to deal with the website itself. It's just a thought.

Danita Hamilton's avatar

Yeah I have the same problem I don’t know why that is happening to people.

DS's avatar

You need to do this on your desktop.

Danita Hamilton's avatar

Oh ok thank you I didn’t know that will došŸ‘
