We only have to put up with this shit for 54 more days. We just must work really hard to protect the vote however we can and get people to actually VOTE!
We do need to be realistic that it's not going to just disappear automatically when we win the house and senate. It will take a decade to undo the damage he's done- to our and the world's economies, our reputation, our relationships with our allies, and to the physical mess that is DC (reflecting pool, arches, east wing, gold statues, Kennedy Center, etc). And the Big Bullsh*t Bill is going to take effect right after the election and of course the Rethugs will blame the Dems for all the bad stuff it causes.
And, it will cost so much money to repair the destruction, amend the Constitution, and go in the right direction. Brian wrote about all of this in his book, The Day After.
I’m not sure we do. What Trump has done is accept bribes from the corporate complex in exchange for handing them powers they previously only dreamed of. Now that they have them, they won’t let them go. And they were smart enough to include above all the power to prevent us from taking back our rightful power.
What I would say is, All Americans need to get out and vote no matter how far and how long you need to wait in line. Do not fall for false promises by the Right. You can repair this second term mistake in November. Do it
VOTE EARLY IN PERSON IF YOU CAN! In my state of GA we can vote early at any number of early locations in our county. Voting early in person locks in your vote and helps the party take you off their canvassing and mailing lists for this election so they can spend and focus on folks who still have not voted or lower propensity voters. (Per Simon Rosenberg). Also voting early in person makes it harder for them to cheat. If you must vote by mail, bring ballot to a dropbox NOT to the P.O. in bulk mail. If one in a huge batch is wrong, they will toss the entire batch.
Yes! Take them to a drop box, or to your county elections office. Where I live, neighborhoods with concentrations of students or people of color have mailbox break-ins around election dates. It’s a federal felony, but no one investigates or pursues it.
Trump’s downturn in popularity couldn’t happen to a more deserving candidate. Sadly, some of the Republican representatives are those running for Senate. I find themselves on the same slippery spiral downward because of their association with Trump.
While Americans drown in debt just to buy basic groceries, the Trump clan struts around stacking billions like it’s a family sport. It feels obscene — a gold‑plated dynasty feeding off chaos while ordinary people scrape by. Donald Trump and his orbit look like a pack of shameless grifters, turning public office into a cash machine and laughing while the country bleeds. It’s a grotesque spectacle of greed in plain sight.
And there stood John Fetterman, PA Democrat who suffered a very debilitating stroke and who more recently fell, with the force, the momentum from the weight of his entire sizable body, face forward on an unyielding floor surface. He has most definitely suffered brain injuries that appear to have caused very serious brain damage.
And why would Trump pass out $5,000 to the voters AFTER the election. Give it now so they are grateful and vote as he asks.

Fetterman is why we need to keep the seats we have (NH, GA, MI) and flip 5 more seats red to blue. We can't count on him to stay with the party. If he leaves and we do this we'd have 51 blue senate seats.
