Ok, Brian, sitting on my hands and doing nothing is causing as much stress as watching Agent Orange fill our country with cancer. A bunch of us did a great job campaigning for Kamala with letter writing. If you could give us what letters would be helpful to our representatives, we can at least get our voices heard. The OTHER 50% of the country!!
Thanks for all you do!!!

PS We need a daily egg and gasoline cost to keep him accountable!!
One thing also to note, Brian: he has rescinded President Biden’s Executive Order 14110, which was intended to safeguard us from risks associated with AI:
This sort of thing can endanger us all by not requiring companies to have guardrails or apply ethics when using generative AI. Another swipe at the rights of ordinary people by making it easier for giant companies to bypass any ethical standards for this new technology, which will have massive impacts on everyone.
Did any media outlets pause from the usual distractions to notice that neither Trump, Vance, nor any other suitable high-level U.S. official attended the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz?
Instead, the administration announced that the U.S. would be "represented" by special Mideast envoy Steve Witkoff and Commerce Secretary nominee Howard Lutnick, among others—a delegation that feels more like an afterthought than a meaningful acknowledgment of this historic event.
What’s the best spin we can put on this? At least they didn’t send Musk.
I think that it's time for us to realize that our federal government is and shall be dysfunctional for years to come and that states that aren't run by extremists should band together to preserve the constitution.
This is what Trump Promised, not just the price of eggs.
“ We have to straighten out our country. We have to close our borders. We have to lower our taxes. We have to get rid of inflation. And we’re going to do it. Just remember, Kamala and her friends broke it. I’ll fix it. The most important election in the history of our country. Go and vote,” he concluded.
What we have to jump on is how he is weakening our country. He promised to make it stronger, but the whole world is laughing at us. He is weakening our health care system by suppressing the FDA and the NIH from catching and stopping diseases and contaminated foods from killing us. ETC.
Brian - thank you for reminding us what is most important right now. We can't be overwhelmed by this deluge. It feels impossible but we need to keep fighting back. We have no choice!
Brian, because I don't see this issue being covered on other sites, I'm going to add a second comment here, hoping you will understand my decision to do so.
In my review of the situation,it feels important to note that electing two Jewish representatives to attend the memorial—while not denying their authentic connection to it—risks reducing the commemoration’s meaning to a superficial gesture. This approach could signal a lack of deeper engagement or an oversimplified view of the community being honored, as if to say, "It’s a Jewish event,"
Agreed, in some world it could argued that Trump’s choice may not have been explicitly exclusionary, but, in fact, it reflects his often transactional, optics-driven style.
By choosing prominent Jewish figures, he may have sought to appease certain groups or project a specific image without fully acknowledging the event’s gravity or broader symbolism.
This decision invites reflection on Trump’s approach: we are reminded that not only does he distract but he also obfuscates.
While we cannot know his intent, the choices feel tokenistic or reductive in a way that undermines the solemnity of the moment.
Given Trump’s history of equivocation, this episode could serve as a telling lens for how he handles similar moments in the future.
Excellent post, Brian. We were discussing this yesterday on Adam Kinsinger's Weekend Video. He also advised choosing our battles and avoiding trump's attempts to overwhelm us. Trump's following the Project 2025 playbook exactly as it's laid out. Our focus must be on stopping THAT.
Behold, you got what you voted for. Remember that the next time your trying to make an omelet, but your budget won't let you afford the eggs, or the bacon. How long before we see people starving and dying because they can't eat? I, on the other hand voted for democracy not fascism. But that means nothing anymore, not to these people, they want trump and got their wish.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful insight. I keep trying to focus beyond the “shock and awe” because I know the chaos is meant for distraction, but it has been so overwhelming. Trying to hang out to the bits of light that are out there (and there is good out there happening if you look) and do so appreciate reminders and support.
In all fairness, he does seem to keep some promises. He promised to get revenge on people who don’t support him. He’s made a start on that. He never said he would fix this country for all Americans. As long as there is no one enforcing the law, there is little hope in clawing our way out of this.
Impeach Trump for every violation of the law he has committed over the last 7 days! Don’t let the scotus decide constitutional violations. IMPEACH him!

The message blue “collar - ized” is this:
MAGAs: President Trump, Sir, when are you going to start doing all the things you promised when you ran?
President: MAGA? I never knew you. Get fucked.

Yikes! 🤯😳💀
Yikes indeed, it’s one of those things these horrible people are trying to slip in without anyone noticing.
I just heard President Petra gave in to Trumps demands to send him the immigrants by military planes. He wants to avoid a trade war.
I’m upset he gave in. Now there’s no stopping him. There seemed to be a glimmer of hope. I was hopeful he would stand strong.
But now is not a time to despair I tell myself. That’s what he wants. We must continue to resist and fight. The light will return to these dark days.
Once again, Brian, you’re absolutely right.
