Every day, I wonder how intelligent, educated, seemingly literate people in Congress, can’t see what’s right in fucking front of them. They can’t recognize the vindictive petty nature of the whiny little bitch in chief..

Donald Petersen's avatar

I said the same thing about the people who voted for him in 2024 and created this exact mess

patricia petrone's avatar

Our fellow Democrats who didn't bother to show up to vote in 2024 are the ones to blame for this debacle. Millions who voted for President Biden in 2020 sat out the 2024 election.

Barbara Moya's avatar

Also there was votes uncounted and voting machines tampered with and why did Harris not demand an investigation of all voting.

Jason K's avatar

True. We have a voter apathy problem. 36% of all eligible voters sat home in 2024. A fraction of them voting for Harris could have PREVENTED this nightmare. But decades of the GOP paralyzing govt and saying it doesnt work created the illusion their vote doesnt matter. Too many believe that and buy into it which creates the cycle we are in. At least that one portion of the problem

Leslie Levy's avatar

WE the people of California did not vote for this and do not want to pay for it ...Blue states should send their federal taxes to their state treasury...

But as a country with a 2-tiered justice system, perverse incentives and a history of countless unaccountable crimes, WE are now getting what's coming to US...SHAME ON US!

John Rainey's avatar

So, I understand that they voted for DJT because he promised to “fix everything,” and they trusted Democrats less. They could overlook the fact that DJT had committed treason on 1/6/2020 because Biden failed to prosecute him for his crime, which may be itself criminal incompetence?

Jason K's avatar

They claim it was stuff like inflation but I think they enjoy his cruelty and prefer that more than anything else. Hence why they keep defending him and supporting this insanity at the core of his base. The bulk of MAGA dont believe in equality, democracy, or Constitution any longer. They are cynical hateful people entertained by Trumps cruelty. Some pine for the 1950s white bread america but like to forget about the racist segregation and McCarthy witchhunts.

We sadly have repeated these events before in America in some form.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Wetback

Clair Erwert's avatar

Biden was weak in that regard, probably didn’t want to alienate the gop who are fascists, at his age the job was probably too hard, cancer, etc.

I wanted him to throw trumpie in prison, for the sake of the country and because they had made it immune for trumpie, it should have been for Biden.

Sandra's avatar

And the multitude of illegal activities he engages in seem to have no enforcement mechanisms whatsoever. How do you have so mamy laws tbat can be broken without immediate arrest for the obvious? What other civiiIan, soldier, or elected official gets to blatently break laws without being placed behind bars? Your American laws appear to be more worthless than the paper they are written on, now that you have allowed the Trump gang to be above the law. .They carry out every indecnt and inhuman whim that flutters by their lizard brains. But apparently no one is allowed to put them in the slammer? Might be worth beefing up your accountability methods and spelling them out in all of your legislation. Because it is doing nothing for you. Just sayin'

Donald Petersen's avatar

I agree 100%. However now it is like closing the gate after the cows are out.

His first term should have been sufficient warning. Nobody learned from that lesson

Dorothy's avatar

Once again, ONE-THIRD of voters elected this monster. ONE-THIRD decided not to vote or they protest voted. Ten years ago, many voters were only 8 or 10 years old and unaware of the monster's first term.

Maria Pickworth's avatar

They might have been only 8 or 10 years old but they had parents who could told them about it.

M Jo.'s avatar

There is absolutely no excuse when his history of fraud was well documented in mass media sources, and the courts. The TV always covered his pageant abuses, 60 Minutes covered his relationship with Russia and his frauds. 5 bankruptcies where he defrauded people out of payment, none of this was a secret and easily accessible with a simple online search. Somehow crass behavior, fraud, sexual abuse, and lying became acceptable enough to gain him the Presidency twice.

Even as young as your daughters were, I am glad they became aware of what was going on around them. You should be proud. We need to study history it is our salvation. We are seeing a lot of 1935 happening again.

M Jo.'s avatar

But isn't that the point? There's been a massive erosion of integrity, ethics, and morality. Too many parents are raising their children with cell phones, substituting for parenting and supervision.

M Jo.'s avatar

Don't forget the monetary bribes by Musk and his campaign donations too. Several counties in Pennsylvania doubled in voting aged adults which hasn't been investigated

Dorothy's avatar

"WE" did not allow this. Six justices on the Supreme Court allowed this, with the pre-approval of Senate Republicans and their leader "Moscow Mitch" McConnell!

Maryooch's avatar

I agree, Dorothy. I think we'll eventually get to the point where we realize we need to strike until the Supremes rescind their immunity order (and Citizens United, while we're at it). Seems kinda funny to me that they're the root cause of all of this mayhem, yet they slink away to their chambers and answer to no one. I think the time has come.

Dorothy's avatar

There needs to be a stated code of ethics for the justices on the SCOTUS. Who ever would have imagined?

Maryooch's avatar

Yeah. With teeth. Not a "code" that we "trust" they'll follow. RULES that they MUST follow. And how about not appointing them for life? That might be a good start!

Dorothy's avatar

Yes, absolutely agree. Age limits as well.

Sabrina Wood's avatar

You are correct. We’ve got gaping holes need filling in and accountability will be numero uno.

Stephen's avatar

Some voted three times for this moron . It's baffling.

Sabrina Wood's avatar

Beyond. They are lost.

Claudia Gibson's avatar

Bcz some 200 ppl in congress have yet to be served subpoenas that got shelved. GOP is in the sewer with trump & he’s gonna take them all down with him!

McConnell, who Owns this mess, wants to do the

25th amendment

But that leaves Vance & the rest in office.

They MUST IMPEACH HIM & REMOVE THEM ALL!!

Then we can deal with each of the SEDITIOUS MEMBERS OF THE GOP!!

I’M SICK OF THIS!!

We’re All Sick of This!

Retribution goes both ways…Every last one will pay. But we may have a terrible depression!

We may have years of disorder!

As long as trump owns their balls - we’re seeing our Institutions being destroyed!!

It’s fairy land to them. They’re talking about races up & down ballot! They don’t have a chance! @GOP IS A DISGRACE🗽✌🏽

Nancy Stone's avatar

McConnell does own this mess. This is all on him.

Athenah's avatar

They're profiting.

Edward's avatar

The issue I can’t reconcile is that Congressional Republicans know they as a party will be decimated in November. Yet the majority of them are so frightened of an angry phone call from Trump and intimidation from his no-name trolls on TwitterX who are protected by Musk. They see what happened to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene as a fate worse than death. Yet, given what little power they do have, they’re willing to transfer it all to Trump on nothing more than a phone call.

If a block of Republicans held hands and took the leap together, en masse, Trump would be powerless to retaliate.

Having said all that, we have to remember we’re dealing with people like Senator Lyndsey Graham who, in explaining how he could flip from being staunchly anti-Trump in 2015-2016, to makinga complete about face in 2017 (to today). Graham said in so many words he was happy to trade his integrity and everything else in order to “remain politically relevant in Washington, DC.”

A Pat's avatar

Absofuckinglutely! Justice will be served one way, some day!

Melanie's avatar

They see it. Through their bank accounts.

Shay Skutt's avatar

I think we have to face the the fact that they do see it. They know, they like it, and they support it.

Dax Jac's avatar

I think so many in congress are so deep in corruption themselves that falling in line is their only saving grace!!

Knowing trump he has floated on many occasions that he would blow up the whole party outing everyone if they didn’t shut and fall in line!!

That’s what he’s done, dating back decades !!

He loved the gossip scene for that reason

paulahik's avatar

They see it. They also see that bribes are now legal and are raking it in, which means so much more to them.

judye hess's avatar

It's easier for them to not see it. They get to keep their cushy jobs, and keep ass-kissing this would-be king. Life is good!

Integrity? Who cares about that

Maryooch's avatar

I hear you, Kim. But ... according to the dems in the room during Jack Smith's interrogation yesterday, the people in Congress KNOW what's in front of them, but they don't care because somehow, they're gaining from the situation. Financially, politically, powerfully. Mostly financially though. I have never, ever seen people who can look straight into a camera and lie like these people can. They are a cumulative disgrace.

Santos Murillo's avatar

It's not that they don't see it. It's just not politically expedient. Maybe, just maybe after they get their asses handed to them after the mid terms they'll change their tune.

Clair Erwert's avatar

The thought of winning, getting favors, the fascist diKKKtator has something on them for extortion, they have been bribed, intimidated, family threatened, and I bet you can think of more.

Jason K's avatar

It comes down to fear and power. They fear Trump turning their gun toting base on them i.e. think Jan 6th. And they crave their power over principles so they choose to retain it the easiest way is to stand by Trump or just stay SILENT (and complicit.)

750839's avatar

So proud of Jack Smith. He's been blessed with integrity. In the beginning they would ask Jack a question and not give him the time to answer. I guess because they are rude and didn't want to hear what Jack had to say.

Not use to Respect. Good job Jack!

Forget impeachment. The entire trump regime, (including all of

his family members) Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Brandon Carr,

Steve Bannon, Jared kushner, Megan Kelly, all ICE and Border

Patrol agents, FOX, CBS, CNN and the entire supreme court need

to be tried for Crimes Against Humanity and for several War Crimes.

They were actively involved or complicit. Also, freeze all of their assets.

Patrice La Belle, M.D.'s avatar

Also, some of the biggest cases of fraud and graft in history. Follow the money. It is coming out of the pockets of Americans, out of education, medical care and research, FEMA, and SNAP and into the pockets of those you listed.

But you forgot Stephen Miller and his side-kick Vought!

It's mind boggling so many grown professional men and women are degrading themselves by lying for trump. I started to realize how trump drags people into the mud with him. Whether, you're a trump sycophant or someone that's trying to fight against this barrage of nonsense, you're in the mud with him. He's used to it. We're not.

chris lemon's avatar

The administration is filled with rich, delusional, psychopaths that think that either they're in some sort of reality TV show, or they are starting up the fifth Reich. Analyzing the nuances is pointless. At this point, the only thing that matters is convincing the oligarchs who pull the strings of their puppets in congress and the senate, that they need to pull the plug on their Trumpenstein monster. They need to be convinced that if they do not act now, then when the counter-coup is finally successful, they will be treated as collaborators and shown no mercy.

Dawn's avatar

Exactly the truth. My concern is also about the children in ICE CUSTODY. A DETENTION CENTER IS NO PLACE FOR A CHILD! THEY NEED TO HAVE A BETTER SITUATION. NEIGHBORS RELATIVES SAID THEY WOULD TAKE THE CHILD AND ICE REFUSED TO. We need a group of people that is allowed into the detention centers to check on the children to make sure they’re not being assaulted, make sure they’re being fed, make sure their health needs are being met, etc..

Dorothy's avatar

That's the job of the elected Representatives, but every time they try to enter a detention camp, the camp guards refuse the Reps entry on orders from the Puppy Killer.

Dawn's avatar

Well someone needs to do it

Dorothy's avatar

If our Reps and mayors cannot get into these camps, then who?

M Jo.'s avatar

They changed the ruling to where formal requests have to be made in writing and ICE delays 7 days before allowing access

Dorothy's avatar

A Federal court rejected that 7 days notice ruling, but the Puppy Killer is blatantly ignoring the court order.

Patrice La Belle, M.D.'s avatar

And school. They are not getting their school lessons, either.

Dawn's avatar

Exactly! but the Trump administration doesn’t care about their school work, they don’t care about them at all. Allegedly, detainees are not going to get medical care! They barely eat or drink, more reason that I am concerned about the children.

Patrice La Belle, M.D.'s avatar

All children in the US, including those in detention, are entitled to free public education.

M Jo.'s avatar

That doesn't mean that it's being honored or acknowledged as a right, since the detainees are considered aliens. They don't care

Dawn's avatar

Exactly but they are detained allegedly with adults! Anything could happen to them and they could witness just about anything.

Lana Houger's avatar

Counting on jack Smith to go after Trump-it mat take awhile but he will do it!!! Trump is so corrupt and owes millions in debts and loans Let’s get Trump out on amendment 25!!!

Katherine Uribe's avatar

What Trump should be building is a prison because that's where he will be going, if he lives long enough.

It should be large, enough for his entire crooked administration and the hacks like Cannon in Florida.

M Jo.'s avatar

No wasted money. Send him and his cohorts to El Salvador where Trump and Noem sent detainees who'd love to see him

Robert Karma's avatar

My MAGA Representative and MAGA Senators are willing to do anything to enable their Dear Leader to criminally act out because they know it plays well with the voters here in deep red Alabama. I've contacted their offices to voice my anger, disgust, and opposition to Trump's pernicious policies and actions. All I get back is the MAGA party line. Jack Smith's testimony about Trump's crimes doesn't register with them. Our Founding Fathers never imagined the scenario that has played out, turning our Constitutional Democracy into a fascist state controlled by a cult leader. These voters knew what they were voting for, and they got it.

Dorothy's avatar

This has been festering down South since the end of the Civil War.

M Jo.'s avatar

Same here in Red Tenn. These morons kind of forgot about FEMA being disbanded so there will be no help during these natural disasters sweeping across the country

Robert Karma's avatar

I grew up in Carter County (TN), and it was hit hard by Helene. The locals had no issue with getting government assistance to repair and rebuild. If such a storm hit again, how pleased would they be to find out Trump had cut FEMA funding, leaving them to their own resources?

Dorothy's avatar

Exactly. Prez Biden helped ALL, not only the people from the States who voted for him, which is how it is supposed to be.

Anne's avatar

The NEXT government voted into Office will have its work cut out for them, busy undoing the atrocities of this fascist regime and seeking justice. A good new piece of legislation will be to punish those with jail time that seek frivolous lawsuits and malicious prosecutions to tie up the courts, including and especially DT.

M Jo.'s avatar

You forgot they'll have to disinfect and fumigate the White House. They'll need to burn the beds and bedding

Dorothy's avatar

Also, rebuild the East Wing.

Daniel M Kimmel's avatar

November can not get here soon enough. I dread the additional damage he will do this year before what I expect will be the biggest Blue Wave in history.

M Jo.'s avatar

You have to stand fast and resolve to vote regardless of the impediments he imposes

HOW WE GOT TRUMP 2.0

CORPORATE COMMUNIST BUSINESS PLAN (It’s not a conspiracy; it is a business plan.)

Russia and China are red states.

Why would anyone feel there is a need for a metaphor about Corporate Communism? The short answer: political marketing.

The fascist Trump MAGA right is using socialist as a bludgeon to attack every bipartisan social progress program of the twentieth century (yes, I mean FDR, Eisenhower, Reagan, Nixon, JFK, LBJ, Obama, Biden, et al). Ninety nine percent of the US population, because of Corporate Communist Fox, has no idea what socialism is other than being the spawn of Satan. It is time to put these liars on their back foot by being forced to defend the lack of free and fair media.

“Corporate Communism” is when oblivious and frequently incompetent corporations own the means of communication which is a very long-winded way of saying propaganda. Propaganda rules the world. All I have to do is to mention any religion and all of you have a visceral reaction no matter what your denomination. Propaganda pervades every aspect of our lives. Show me two religions and I will show you a war, frequently within the same dogma denomination. On the corporate side propaganda is done through the ownership of major corporations that provide us with supposed news. This is a failure on many levels, not only in the slanting and editorializing of the news, but more importantly, the editorial decision of what to cover or what to ignore. Right now, the corporate communist news industry covers only things that support oligarchy. To quote Senator Sanders. “In America today, we have more media concentration than we have ever had. Just six international media corporations control 90% of what American people see here and read. They own the traditional media, newspapers, radio and TV networks and movie studios as well as much of the Internet…three huge Wall Street firms Vanguard, BlackRock and State Street are the major stockholders in 95% of the S&P 500 corporations. And in other words, they have significant influence over many hundreds of companies that employ millions of American workers. And in fact, the entire economy.” This is accomplished by the production of false information via the privatization of Big Brother (Palantir, Google, X aka Gulf of Twitter, Facebook, Amazon, Instagram, etc.). It is the worst of both utopian fantasies, e.g. altruism is a natural human trait and that the invisible hand is more than a metaphor.

In NYC, a self-described socialist Zohran Mamdani resoundingly won in the race for Mayor. During the campaign an ad by political entertainer and Republican mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa who had less leadership experience than Mamdani attacked the leadership and ethics of Cuomo and Adams while yelling “Socialist” about Mamdani. The conservavictim whiny little bitch corporate communist media is spreading the fear lies that NYC businesses will leave NYC for Texas etc. since they have the same educated employee hiring pool as NYC.

A Note on Conspiracy Theory: A popular belief among life’s victims (conservavictims and libtards) is that they are not to blame for their lack of success because “those forces” such as space aliens, frequently with lasers, immigrants and beings with mystic power, e.g. The Illuminati are aligned against them, and “those people” (usually ethnic and or religious groups) all sticking together to subvert their pure patriotic programs.

Corporate Communism is anti-capitalism (Adam Smith and Ayn Rand). It is anti-communist, (Marx and Stalin). It is anti-competitive in its core. It hates the free market. Loves big government which it owns. Classic Capitalism and Classic Communism are utopian dreams based on the perfectibility of humans. The stunning materialist success of classic Capitalism in remaking the world is that it most closely follows the depraved human (that is us) indifference to consequences. The stunning failure of Russian/Chinese, Stalinist Communism is that it assumed that imperfect dogma dog bureaucrats could manage something other than being dogma dog bureaucrats: Red Guard political officers in every organization.

The Corporate Communist Business Plan Privatizing Big Brother:

• Elect a useful idiot wholly controlled by those with extortion and blackmail skills and evidence. (Trump-Epstein anyone?).

• Neuter Citizen Voting (Citizens United: corporations are people) an armed guard at polling places to demand “your papers please” to prevent non-proven voter fraud.

• Neuter The Free Press Aka the Fourth Estate and free speech while maintaining the fantasy of freedom (Free Speech Absolutist) through bogus litigation, denial of access, and ownership of the means of communication. Consolidation of media.

• A note on Free Speech Absolutism: Free speech is absolutely protected from the government. That’s it, full stop. It does not mean everybody has the right to have their words and speech published, streamed, broadcast, sculpted, painted or sent via smoke signals “Freedom of the press is guaranteed only to those who own one". A. J. Liebling”..

• Ongoing degradation and subjugation of women via BFFI (BruteForceFuckingIgnorance) and tax-free religion. E.g. Clinton, Harris, Warren, Klobuchar, Ferraro. Compare and contrast with Nixon, Trump, Bush, et al. G$D created man and woman in their own image but no one has ever seen him/her/them yet almost always has a beard. Hell, even Satan has a beard. Why do popular (actually, all) religions get to have their superstitions subsidized by the government as tax free business? Please don’t say they do good work like the Godfather passing out turkeys on Thanksgiving right before DeNiro shoots him. I think it was abortion and Germaine Greer, and Susan Brownmiller via Playboy, (I only read the articles and interviews e.g. Ayn Rand) that I found the additional cracks in my dogma. What, exactly are men so terrified of? Why are G$D’s women frequently covered from head to toe due to the male BFFI (Brute Force and Fucking Ignorance) run societies and religions. Could it be self-awareness by men that they cannot control their most base instincts or perhaps confusing musculature bravado with self-esteem? Currently this is Trumpism writ large. Could not men have come up with a civilization that did not need to stand on the throats of 50% of the world’s population to develop both the A bomb and the Cybertruck? It seems that men have not completely exempted themselves from abusive dogma like mandatory facial hair and celibacy as to women. Good thing we are the top of the food chain.

• Neuter Government Oversight of the economy (Chevron Doctrine), DOGE. and e.g. elimination of the CFPB Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

• Cut Education Funding (eliminate critical thinking and awareness of facts about tiny hands).

• The anti-capitalist mentality: Elimination of Classic Capitalism Free Market Competition via Anti-Customer Service (“Your call is very important to us and the robot will be right with you”), tax funded bailouts. Consolidation of industries to eliminate effective competition.

• Denying that personal information: medical, financial e.g. credit scores, accident, dating, social, religious is actually individual private property like homes, stamp collections, cars, shoes, underwear. This theft of private property is frequently self-inflicted via free shipping and rewards by uploading your life to Big Brother social media or most likely in terms of agreement you signed and never read. Let’s not forget DOGE: since there is no controls or oversight, possibly most Musk minions stolen data will wind up as an Xfile without rewards or free shipping.

o This from Consumer Reports: “Imagine being charged more for an airline ticket to a family member’s funeral just because you searched for their obituary online. ..surveillance pricing’ happens because corporations are allowed to secretly use your personal information against you – charging different prices based on how much they think you’re willing to pay, or how badly you need their product or service.”

o

• Indentured Servitude (Employee responsible for their pension and medical insurance).

• Permanent Financial Crisis and business bailouts.

• Tax Free Theocracy. Christo Fascism

• Full Unemployment via “The Singularity aka Homo AI”

• Return of a King (Donnie The Dumb)
