And I think Bush needs to speak out which Republicans, who doesn't want to let go of the 'R' but doesn't want to be clumped in with the fanatical magas, will see as permission to join in the saving of our country.
You are absolutely right! I’ve always disliked party loyalty. It should be who is the best person running, who has morals, and who does not, right versus wrong!
And....you are NEVER ever going to have everything you want in one person, that is just not realistic. People want to vote for a particular person and then they discover there is one tiny thing that they disagree with them over and they change their minds. Even the very best President is going to do things that some don't agree with. In a democracy, majority wins, and that should apply to an elected official's stance on things too (unless it is something heinous, like what is happening these days, obviously).
I realize that there’s no one person that’s perfect however, we need to start deep diving into who our candidates are prior to them getting into office rather than waiting for crap like this to come around. I did not vote for him the first time around the second time nor the third time. His monotone whining turned me off and thinking that he is not a serious person and that he is only ever out for himself. I would take one or two faults over many.
Absolutely agree. I am a registered Democrat, but I may change to Independent, though I don't ever see myself voting for a Republican again, so no hurry 😂
I am registered independent. I have voted Republican and I have voted Democrat. I always vote a split ticket except for this last election. That I voted a straight ticket. I will always vote for whom I think is the better choice and can do the better job.
Not going to happen. Bush barely uttered a peep during The Felon’s first term and seems content to stay on his ranch and ignore what is occurring today.
Yeah, Bush is pretty corrupt too but I would think that at some point the idea of not leaving a functioning democracy for your grandkids would make you realize that the millions you already made from your crooked deals would be enough and that it's time to speak up.
Maybe he just wants to stay under the radar. Maybe he's afraid that trump will remind us of the thieving the bushes did. trump loves a good distraction.
Yep, I don't think so either. However, the man is 79 years old and was never the sharpest tool in the shed in the first place. We are expecting too much of him....
I agree, too. Bush is a normal human being. There ARE some who lean red. I hope we've learned to recognize sanity, and insanity, gluttonous need for power and money, and a higher regard for the Constitution...much higher than this administration and the Supreme Court have given to the rules and laws of a FREE nation-which we're *supposed* to be.
2026 Grammys last night were like opening the windows and letting fresh air rush inside a very stuffy living room! I learned a lot about genres of music I normally do not listen to. And as always it’s the creative souls in the world that “tell it as it is”. BRAVO! And I personally didn’t hear a single word that was offensive…ONLY THE DAM(N) TRUTH!!! Thank YOU to Trevor Noah for “setting the stage” so to speak…😉. BRAVO TO ALL!
It’s about time. Hopefully that spark will get the apathetic crowd awake and aware of the TRUE reality in the USA Today. Thank you to those who had the courage to speak up.
The grammys and the artists who spoke out made me feel proud that there are indeed young (and not so young) people standing up and speaking truth to power. The fact that they got so far under the fanta menaces increasingly thin skin was just icing on the cake. Bravo! And congratulations to the nominees and winners 🏆
Brian, this one absolutely tops the charts in a number of ways! I'll start with your powerful presentation of the amazing things which took place at the Grammys. You know by now, you are at the top of my list for independent media
Then there's the fact that Trevor Noah was the host. And it's hysterically funny to hear Trump spewing his ridiculous and typical knee jerk response to Noah because Trevor Noah will NEVER EVER put up with Trump's BS (trying to keep it clean! 😉)!!!
And that so many truly OUTSTANDING artists said EXACTLY what those of us in the resistance movement believe and feel, can't help but send a very loud message, which the orange madman, his enablers and his followers cannot possibly even understand, let alone do anything to stop.
Finally, it is exciting to me, because I have been waiting for the music artists to openly fight Trump and everything he stands for. Music reaches people on a level which spoken words never can. Also, these artists are SO MUCH MORE popular than Trump will EVER be. He won't know it, but if he did, it would make him far angrier than any other kind of attack could.
HCR mentioned a few months ago, that she believes that art of any kind, music, graphics or any other type, has the power to do more than almost anything else. I believe that with this incredible night, and everything it's doing, will prove her RIGHT.
Very proud that they used their platform to force attention on the "wrongs" of this administration. These are not normal political times. Everyone must speak up and the fact that it's happening on a national level and that even CBS couldn't interfere, especially in an awards setting is telling and I hope it continues loud and often.
We must NEVER FORGET!!! There are plenty of dictator wannabees to follow. Watch carefully and maybe our children and grandchildren won't have to endure ICE killing them in the streets!!!
This is why people always say you never negotiate with hostage-takers, or give in to young children who are having temper tantrums. Once they get the idea they have you over a barrel, they escalate, and rely on the same strategy again.
We need this energy from everyone with a platform to stand on! Proud of these kids!
Agree.
And I think Bush needs to speak out which Republicans, who doesn't want to let go of the 'R' but doesn't want to be clumped in with the fanatical magas, will see as permission to join in the saving of our country.
Right and Wrong are the only choices.

Hell yes! The current President is the most self-centred human being I have ever come across.
Monica, you are absolutely right!!

Amen.
Left versus wrong, like ots always been. This is just another excuse to create a ruling white supremacist party.

Rightfully so! Glad to see others speaking out!
It is great to hear celebrities speak out against ICE and against the worst ever president.
He wins the "worst" award hands down.
No doubt about it!

It was a great night for all who defend democracy!
Thank you as always, Brian. Continue to rage against the machine.
Good one, Chris.
Thank you
Well, it happened in the mid 30's, early 50's, and late 60's, it's about time to happen now! Resistance is a necessity in any form and vital NOW!

Actually Grammys are going to ABC Hulu and Disney+ next year.
