I already have my passport. I am not running any where to pacify SAFE. I spoke to a reliable source who said SAFE will NOT pass in the Senate. However, if Trump writes it into an executive order, I'm not sure how that will work. At the very least, we protest. P
Unless we stop the SAVE act from passing in the Senate. trump cannot unilaterally change anything about the elections...they are controlled by the states, with only Congress able to make any changes. And the courts have already nixed the executive order from trump regarding elections, since he has no say in them.
I believe the danger lies in trumps repetitious lies about the elections being 'rigged', and the interference they will try at the polls, such as ICE showing up to intimidate. We will have to go to the polls in groups, or drop off mail-in ballots at drop boxes, to get past these obstacles. It will be an effort on all our parts to get our votes in, and make sure they are counted fairly.
If I'm not mistaken, in lieu of a passport, you will be able to bring a marriage certificate as well as a license, maybe your first-born, all your savings, a pint of blood ...
Sorry. I only point out the alternative to a passport, because right now purchasing a passport costs around $200, last time I had to get one. And times is tough.
And then the more viewers the networks are losing and YouTube is the new freedom of speech Empire! I figured in about 10 more years these networks that bent the knee will be bankrupt and gone. Who likes to watch all those commercials anyway!
Honestly I feel like news tv is a dying breed anyway. Most use streaming these days and more are flocking to news on YouTube and the like and getting away from standard tv.
