It was such a stupid self-own by the MAGA influencers. Just as they are amplifying this ridiculous story that James Talarico is in a mental hospital, multiple credible news sources were showing that Talarico was actually getting massive cheers at a Kacey Musgraves concert, as well as getting tons of positive feedback all around Austin City Limits.

As Talarico said, since Ken Paxton was demanding proof of life of him, Talarico is asking for proof of spine of Ken Paxton. 🔥

After Mitch McConnell? Remember the influencers already tweeted during the Jack Smith hearings that “gotcha moment “ . They were quickly deleted.

It is not true that Lincoln is rolling in his grave at how low ‘his party’ has sunk.

‘Honest Abe’ is thrashing in it, furiously!

He was a reluctant Republican. Now we know why. He was a Whig

Lincoln? If Ronald Reagan was alive today he'd be denounced as a "RINO" by the MAGAts.

We always think they can't go any lower and then they prove us wrong. We must remain vigilant and counter any lies or made up information they release with truth. We know the Repugs have a hard time telling the truth, and nothing but the truth, so we must fight for truth and justice, as the Repugs cannot do so. They would rather follow a lying, devious, and corrupt President. Since they are supposed to work on behalf of We, the People, we must "fire" as many Repugs as possible in the midterms!! Vote true Blue!!!!!

Vote blue to save our democratic republic.

Paxton's only legacy as an elected official is that of his non-stop corruption. How can he run on his record? How can he attend a debate? The current state of the republican party makes it almost impossible to vote for any of their fully flawed candidates. As a party, they are left with only two options to retain power, lying and cheating. How can any of them run on their records?

Unfortunately, many Americans still treat party loyalty like religion...they vote for the party they have always voted for with no thought given to policy or self interest.

cpcon's avatar

Correct. These people are either not very smart or are intellectually lazy.

I think Republicans have lost their sanity. What idiot makes up a lie that's easily fact checked? They show themselves as fools. So desperate.

Janet Wilson's avatar

Not insane, they just think their voters are that stupid. They also know their supporters love malicious gossip, in that "own the libs" way.

Julie Callahan's avatar

True. But I think implying someone is being treated for a mental illness is beyond the pale that far exceeds what a moral, right thinking person would do. But, this is the group that just cut down 430 trees in Washington--some very old. Everything they do anymore revolts me.

James will win in Texas. They can go as low as they want. I live in a bright red area and have seen all the blue signs. I walk my dog and have seen only two Paxton signs. That's amazing people who don't normally post signs are posting tallerico signs.

I know I should focus on the main issues, but I can't help wondering what kind of low-intelligence, self-loathing woman would ever be attracted to a soft, pudgy, amoral, self-absorbed slob like Paxton? He has a little money, but surely not enough to make a woman look past all that ick. People never cease to amaze me.

Janet Wilson's avatar

Well....Melania. I have heard from a few very beautiful women friends that they can never be sure a man loves them for anything but their trophy looks, so why not just sell yourself to the highest bidder?

Personally I would rather be single all my life than shackled in an unloving marriage.

Dale Rowett AR OK VA PA NY's avatar

Well, yes, there are women like Melania. But as I noted in my original comment, I don't believe Paxton has enough money to compensate a woman like Melania. Apparently, Donald didn't have enough either, considering that she's had to generate her own grifting sources to supplement the "pittance" she gets for her public appearances with her alleged husband.

Poor Mel. Someday soon, there won't be enough plastic surgery to conceal the life of misery that will show up in her face. It's already creeping in.

Janet Wilson's avatar

Perhaps Paxton was just the highest bidder! The perception of what constitutes wealth is relative.

And as for Melania...words fail me!

Brian, I've followed your work for a long time now and while it takes a lot to impress me, you have done it. You have grown into your role in independent media in a way that most have not. Keep up the excellent work. I'll be watching and reading.

Trumpers are shameless pieces of literal shit that think lying will get them to the top 😂 Why do they even bother 🤷‍♂️

Arlene Row's avatar

I dream of Talarico’s voters wiping the floor with Paxton.

Joan MacLeod's avatar

Thanks Brian, it's strange how so many Republican candidates don't want to get on a debate stage, what are they afraid of?

Sage Kahalnick's avatar

Schmitt’s debacle in Jack Smith’s hearing.

Paxton and co with Talarico.

The Reagan trickle down theory doesn’t seem to work so well with these lies.

I’ve pre chosen my popcorn. 🍿

Why continue to call it "conspiracy theory", it's conspiracy lies. We all know they know better than what they put out there. Call it what it is.

Why would anyone vote for this idiot. Cheater, con-man and liar. Oh, right he's a republican!!!

The fact that Talarico is up 6%, and not 60%, tells you something about Texans, or Republicans.

I have said this repeatedly, but HIPAA rules should have prevented the alleged Ohio treatment center from telling a caller ANYTHING, even including that the imagined patient asked about was not a patient. What they should have done was asked the age of imagined patient. If the imagined patient was a minor, then the treatment center needed to see documentation confirming that the caller was the parent or guardian. If the imagined patient was an adult, and declared incapacitated, or whatever term is used in Ohio, then the treatment center needed to see confirmation from the court that the caller was the assigned legal guardian. And this almost definitely needed to be in person, not over the phone. How does the medical records department, or the hospital administrator, know that "Joe Talarico," James' twin brother and guardian, is really who he alleges he is?
