Good for them! The men’s team chug’d that slime down in one childish gulp.

Much respect and congrats to women’s hockey team!

The men’s team should decline as well in solidarity. The bond of sport and Olympic victory is stronger than any fair-weather bullsh*t that Drumpf can offer them… why should they care about what an elderly, overweight, cognitively impaired autocrat thinks of them?

The men's team should decline because they have realized that their laughter at Trump's nastiness (and NO it wasn't a joke) was unconscionable, and they have called each player on the women's hockey team to apologize, and have told Trump in no uncertain terms that they are ashamed of their response and he should be ashamed as well. Waiting. Waiting.

Trump never apologizes. He just keeps digging deeper into his hole by doubling down on any idiotic thing he says and has his sycophants deny, distort and spin his pie hole effluent to try to make it less bad.

Don't hold your breath.

The men's team should never have allowed Kash Patel into the locker room post win. He acted like an absolute idiot. And no one in the room stopped him. Kash did nothing to deserve being in that locker room.

The team tarnished their victory and embarrassed the country.

I was very disappointed in the men's hockey team. On the other hand was so proud of the kids on the women's hockey team. I would have been proud of them whether they won or lost.

Because a lot of them are "Chump bros" - not all - but a lot. So of course they would love his approval.

Patricia's avatar

They’ve already begun to question the “offer” as it interferes with NHL scheduling.

Mary Walterman's avatar

Just say no. The women said no without hesitation.

Why? Testosterone.

Women fought for the right to vote and now are fighting for our Democracy.

Lynell(VA by way of MD&DC)'s avatar

It's We, the Women, Michele2, who will get us out of this mess...I'm convinced of it.

Christine L Collins's avatar

And we women may very well be fighting for our vote again if the SAVE Act is passed. The lack of explicit acceptance of a marriage certificate or court-approved legal name change is HUGE, as is the effort tracking these docs down. Some may be in foreign countries or rural churches - if they're even around. This can't go into effect for mid-terms, this needs a year and status quo voter status.

Yes... Notice the Trump regime named it "The Save Act" ...an Orwellian attempt at deceiving the populace under the guise of "saving it" ...It truly is The Destroy Act"...

Louise Yanuck's avatar

Trompe (which, BTW, is the French word for deceive or fool) and his cult followers have co-opted the words we usually use in a democracy: MAGA advertising often utilizes the Statue of Liberty, the American flag, and other national symbols to represent "liberty" and freedom from perceived government overreach or foreign influence.

Yes... The regime tries "to fool" and then we have Trump who is "a fool"...

Yaaaasssss!!! Thank you for being brave, strong and great inspirations for all genders and endeavours!!!!

Feck drumpf!!!!

Good for them. The bastard would probably want their medal anyway. I hope all the athletes refuse invites. Just like the Seahawks told them they were busy.

Fuck yeah! Can’t wait to hear trump cry about this one 😂 And if he doesn’t do it in public, you know he’s boiling privately by the fact that women told him where he can shove his invitation🖕🏼

Kathi Kirschner's avatar

Moral clarity is what the women’s hockey team showed! 👏🫶🏻

unset's avatar

Instead of saying they had previous commitments, why not say we don’t want to be anywhere near you, Mr. President.

Ruth's avatar

That would have been super, however, just saying no is pretty darn good.

Patricia's avatar

THAT’S a good one!

Marcianna's avatar

We can all read between the lines. Plus that old “previous commitment” line has pretty much always been one of those polite lies.

Scott Miller's avatar

The womens hockey team has a new fan for life! I always rooted for them but now i am a supporter!

Marcianna's avatar

You are not alone. ✋🏼

Charlie's avatar

Good for you. He doesn’t deserve it.

Plus you would vomit with his body odor too.

Cheryl Munroe's avatar

Proud of the Us Women’s hockey team! Trump doesn’t deserve your presence 🇨🇦

Cheryl Munroe's avatar

Hopefully the Men’s team will open their eyes and do the same

Ruth's avatar

I sure hope they do..........if they don't then they are complicit in his demagoguery.

Marcianna's avatar

The US men’s hockey team has proven to be the weaker sex. They should be embarrassed to attend and should stand strong against this regime by remembering that they too “have a previous commitment”. The commitment can be as simple as standing up for democracy.

CJ's avatar

So proud of our young women who are talented athletes—-with character. Well done ladies!

T2's avatar

Awesome 🥰 Hopefully him and his regime will be impeached and imprisoned anyway.

Pamela Fender's avatar

The women’s hockey team should be proud of themselves.

Brava to them!!

Jules Davis's avatar

They deserve better. I’m pleased that they have character.
