At what point will Congress charge him with treason?

Scott Gilbert's avatar

At the point when we get a new, Democrat majority, Congress.

Elizabeth J. Sampson's avatar

I am disturbed because no one in the entire congress fights for us. Not dems. Not senators. Not House dems. But they write us daily asking for money. I hope they are holding their breath, waiting for me to give to do- nothings. They’ll be waiting a long time. All they do is vacation and do illegal insider trading. And ask for money.

Barbara Richmond-ONeill's avatar

I think you're talking about Republicans here. Democrats hands are largely tied to spouting rhetoric; in most cases strongly opposing the madman running the US. Invoke the 25th now is the only answer before he starts WWIII

Michelle Nee's avatar

Fire them all! Save the fighters only.

Lynne's avatar

Elizabeth, you are spot on! Don't forget that they get the best health insurance while working people worry about paying for everything!

Pamela Mendenhall-Howard's avatar

Elizabeth..... There are a few good fighters that are fighting for We the People and do not take corporate or super pack money. AOC, Jasmine Crockett, The Squad, Bernie Sanders to name a few. Have you heard of David Hogg? He has a movement called Leaders We Deserve. He is looking for younger people to run for City, State and Federal positions. We need to weed out the seat warmers. He only takes small donations also. I'm behind him 100%.

Veronica Alleyne's avatar

your vote is your true power but, most people act like calling for progressive policies means they will never be happy again unless they know for certain somebody somewhere has the boot of oppression pressing on their neck

Marion Constantinides's avatar

No we can’t afford to wait at all.

Doreen Garza's avatar

We can’t wait that long, we honestly can’t and I don’t have the answers, I sure wish I did!!

Veronica Alleyne's avatar

I do, if you don't care to be governed by fascists, just stop voting for them, it really is just that flippin' simple

Kris Lovaas's avatar

What concerns me is that Trump subscribes to Putin’s motto that the only thing that matters who counts the votes. Trump won all 7 swing states at a margin just over the threshold where mandatory recounts would be required. The article I read yesterday said the odds of that are one in an octillion. I didn’t even know that was a number. That’s 1 followed by 27 zeroes! And now the 2 largest companies that make voting machines are owned by a buddy of Trump’s.

Doreen Garza's avatar

I always vote and I’m a blue dot in a red state. I hate it here! But definitely voting is one way but I’m worried about today as well.

Leigh Hamilton's avatar

Unless Trump invades Greenland this May. We can't vote until November.

yamah goodman's avatar

the answer is for Congress to have Clarity and True Devotion to the Constitution, to the people who put them in power. a Conscience. Backbone, Balls, the Will to buck phoney Trump's mental illness, join together and override him, over & over & over, so he knows he is powerless, useless and cannot get away with being a criminal, attacking his own citizens and bullying on the world stage, the emporer who has no clothes, needs to stand in the mirror, the Congress, Supreme Court and the World's countries to put that mirror in front of his face~ one mentally ill person is running the country and challenging the world, all because Congress has no clue how to do their jobs because they are not made of what it takes to do so~ otherwise the merry go round continues to go round and round with words, Bernie's speeches, congressional hearings, all the rest of the outcries~ pretty useless so far~

Scott Gilbert's avatar

And the other option is...?

Shannon T.'s avatar

Pray he croaks asap?

Scott Gilbert's avatar

Trump is proof that prayer doesn't work. Half of the people on Earth are praying for that, and yet, he's still walking about after 9 years of the prayer that he'd kick off.

Shannon T.'s avatar

Good point. Very true. I’m all out of options then…

Leigh Hamilton's avatar

No, but it isn't up to us. It's up to the EU. I can only hope they see the immediacy of the problem.

Mim Eisenberg (NYer now in GA)'s avatar

But they can't impeach Trump. Only our Congress can. But Vance is equally dangerous. Perhaps more so because he has some intelligence, which Trump lacks.

Nancy Stone's avatar

That’s a year away. Our country will be even worse off in a yoga he is still president

Jamie Stickman's avatar

when the military arrest him. nobody else has the guts, and, the military serve the constitution, not, the president

Elizabeth J. Sampson's avatar

If they are decent people. I am not sure. Anyone who is a goon for Trump deserves death as far as i can see. They are bad men. Oh and every post we do should say Epstein, Epstein, Epstein!!!!!

Veronica Alleyne's avatar

if he really didn't like it here, why didn't he just move to Epstein's island where he could've done whatever he pleased instead of mucking up everything here? because he hasn't improved shit but, what's most appalling is how little he actually had to do to drag us all down into the gutter with him

ErisX's avatar

Im of the opinion that Epstein is the distraction, not vice versa. But do carry on.

Paula Kellogg's avatar

While I do agree with you there, he still should be arrested and jailed for what he did with Epstein and trafficking women, vs sitting in the oval office. I still maintain that Musk interfered and that's why the orange ass was elected. And that is why Musk will show up again for the mid-terms.

Connie Larsen's avatar

Need to get rid of Kegsbreath! Really his entire kkkabinet are not qualified for the position! And bondi is not following the orders from the judge regarding EPSTEIN!

Dorothy Evans's avatar

Not now. The military is following orders of Trump lackeys. I don’t think they have any belief in the constitution any more.

Elizabeth J. Sampson's avatar

If they do what they are supposed to do. Trump’s team are traitors so you have to constantly watch them. They don’t want the military or anyone else to have their constitutional rights.

Aurora K.'s avatar

Once they can manage to have a collective backbone.

Daniel H Laemmerhirt's avatar

Maybe go back in time and charge It with “High Treason” on January 7th, 2021? Then imprison It for 20 years, the maximum allowable charge for some reason, though it USED to be execution.

Elizabeth J. Sampson's avatar

They killed Kennedy and he was the best. I have a feeling it wouldn’t take much to do the same to a fat pig.

tony carr's avatar

They wont trumps Republican dimwits are in charge for 2 more years and I fear there will be no America by then we will have descended into Civil War.?

Elizabeth J. Sampson's avatar

I believe that America will go to war with Trump and we’ll kill him quickly but not quick. The way he’s murdering Minnesota with his illegal military and goon squad, means it could start soon. No one- not anyone- wants Trump to go scot free.—Guess what? Not for $1 billion. No one is pardoning Donnie- not now, not ever.

Sara's avatar

That depends if we have free and fair mid terms and gain the majority.

Daniel H Laemmerhirt's avatar

LUCKILY, the COMEDIC INCOMPETENCE of these Traitors and losers may very well save Us Americans. The good Lord willing!!!

patti smith's avatar

Not holding my breath!

Paula Kellogg's avatar

Me either Patti. I think Musk will show up again for the midterms and work his magic manipulation. I will go to my grave thinking he had something to do with the election numbers that got trump into office again. After an insurrection he did nothing about and USA and the world watched in horror. Cuz it blows my mind that anyone would think he was good for the country after that let alone everything else he's done and hasn't done.

Shannon T.'s avatar

I completely agree about Musk manipulating the presidential election. I know there are a lot of assholes and optimists in this country that voted for Trump, but not more than the rational people that knew how terrible he is for the US. There is no way the orange goon won all 7 swing states and the popular vote. I refuse to believe that nonsense.

David Maceira's avatar

Yesterday wouldn't have been soon enough.

JoBo's avatar

At the point the Republicans are voted out.

Pamela Mendenhall-Howard's avatar

Sara.....the sooner the better!!! 💙💙💙🇺🇸

chris lemon's avatar

Apparently Congress' oligarch financiers haven't yet had enough, and are directing their puppets to stay the course. Any theory that the rich are smarter than everyone else is clearly proved wrong with this fact.

Leigh Hamilton's avatar

When the EU crashed the U.S. economy and that's the only way incumbent Congresspeople can get any votes.

he has Lewy Bodys dementia, ive seen it before, and, it makes ordinary people narcissistic disconnected from reality rude unhinged unaware of their own actions and consequences.

people already like that, like him, mask it \ make it harder to call out - hence the "its just trump talking nonsense" reactions.

2FollowHim's avatar

He had it long before dementia and have doctors said he has it? Can they even brain scan for it? I say he's a megalomaniac and he's displayed this but it's increasing. For EVERYONE to suffer because of ONE person's psychological twistedness SHOULD have him removed. But he has powerful billionaire backers, many Zionists and they stand to gain in a big way.

Everyone owes US, he says but what about what US did to other countries. How much damages should be levied.

Ginger's avatar

Can you say mentally unstable, unfit to be in the WH...hello CONGRESS do your JOB YOU WERE ELECTED TO DO

Fred Jonas's avatar

Ginger, I will assume you are not a member of Congress. Members of Congress think the job they were elected to do is to be, and stay, in Congress. If they think the clown can mess that ambition up for them, they're not going to challenge him.

Republicans like to complain about "welfare queens." They should look in the mirror. Their ambition in life, and that of several Democrats, too, is to spend their "working" lives sucking off the government tit.

Debbie E's avatar

Which is why we need term limits. In the meantime, primary every one of them out. It's time to clean up the mess they have left by becoming too comfortable in their seats. And I'm not just talking about Republicans......The old guard must go.

Fred Jonas's avatar

Many of them are now being challenged. And a number quitting. Term limits is a double-edged sword. In one way, it's a great way of throwing them out before they settle into uselessness. In another way, it increases their interest in skimming as much as they can in their limited terms.

What I consistently advocate is no private money in politics. Until Reagan, broadcast media were required to air emergency alerts, and even trials of emergency alerts, for free. Reagan relieved them of that very minor fiscal burden. What I would like to see is that burden reinstated, and also that anyone who runs for office gets free broadcast time. Everyone gets the same amount of time, and no one can buy anything more than they get for free. Part of the finer point is that envision that anyone who can collect a certain number of signatures of registered voters who support their presence in the campaign (not promise to vote for them) qualifies. Then, maybe every two weeks, they have to collect increasing numbers of signatures. As soon as a candidate cannot meet the requirement, s/he is out. At the end (of what I further envision is a much shorter campaign season), there might be one candidate left, or 32 of them. That's the ballot.

Connie Larsen's avatar

Citizens United must be removed. Money in politics sucks! The Supreme Court needs to start working for we the people!

Fred Jonas's avatar

All private money. Big private money, like Citizens United, is corrupting. Small private money takes time and effort to get, and that time and effort is better spent governing.

patti smith's avatar

Interesting idea.

Dorothy Evans's avatar

He’s already planning on stopping the 2026 elections - or calling the results invalid, or lying about the results. He already told us these things.

He’s already proven that the only thing he DOESN’T lie about are his plans, but they’re do crazy - to us - that we don’t believe him.

He means every word.

We’re now in a place where we can safely say “fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.”

We’ve now not believed him how many times?

Shame on us!

Ed Guerrant's avatar

We have term limits in regularly scheduled elections every two, four or six years depending on the office.

Arbitrary term limits such as you appear to be advocating will simply shift power away from elected officials and toward unelected staffers (who work for other elected officials if their office holder loses an election) and, more damaging, paid lobbyists who represent monied special interests.

1WhiteTree's avatar

Good points. No war chests for incumbents so they can't outspend their opponents.

Connie Larsen's avatar

Very funny, that bacon n tillis are finally speaking up! Course they are not running for office again! 🐓💩’s

Elizabeth J. Sampson's avatar

They are the laziest congress in history and should ( both sides) be fired. Trump is too demented to be allowed out on his own anymore. He needs to be committed to the national mental health hospital, St Elizabeth’s. Vance should be maimed and arrested for killing our last pope

He hates everyone and everyone hates him as the “ insulter in chief”.. Insults world leaders and people who love cats. He’s a philandering nightmare of how not to behave as a man. Women outman him! He behaves like a whiney bitch.

Debbie E's avatar

You make very good points. Changes are needed.

chris lemon's avatar

Congress critters go to Washington to do "good", and find out that they can do "well". Once they've got their snouts in the trough, nothing can pry them away.

Fred Jonas's avatar

Mr Davis, please get help. Back in the Cold War days, they used to talk about imagining Communists coming out of the water faucets. You see Muslims everywhere, dominating lots of countries, and somehow threatening everyone. Do you know what religious group is the big threat in the US?

Sara's avatar

Well that's a load of bs if ever I heard any Bernie Davis, have you ever actually been to the UK. We are still a Christian country with King Charles III at head of the church.

I'm really sad to read this absolute rubbish. Before you try to trash the UK get your own country sorted out. 😡😡😡😡😡

Has Trump never looked at a map? The US already has Russia as a neighbour. He should have known that when he welcomed Putin to Alaska. Clearly, that excuse is just gaslighting. You are right, time to play economic hardball.

It’s disgusting that he hasn’t been stopped yet. When are the republicans in congress finally going to grow a pair and stop his insanity?! 😡 I am not an American but I am genuinely scared what the future may hold for the entire world if he is not reined in.

Write to your reps! In 2024 Biden deported over 100,000 more immigrants than this regime did in 2025.
