Two years ago, on November 6, 2024, I posted a video saying this:
A lot of the people who voted for Donald Trump this time either don’t remember what it was like when he was in office, are looking back with rose-colored glasses, are buying some revisionist history, or weren’t even old enough to experience it. But they’ll see the chaos that comes with it. I can promise you that they will experience that chaos and come to regret it. Enough people will, and they’ll do what we did in 2018. But that means we have to stay in this fight.
Today is the day that fight lands on Trump’s doorstep.

My message to those who are still on the fence: you don’t owe Trump or Republicans anything. Our politicians are in office to serve us, not the other way around. This Republican Party seems to think that they’re entitled to unlimited control, unlimited power, unlimited money. They have shown outright contempt for the people who gave them that power in the first place– the people who they promised they’d remember once they got into office, only to instead focus on groveling at Trump’s feet. And now, inflation is up, gas is at record highs, we’re at war, Epstein’s co-conspirators are being protected, healthcare’s been cut, and Americans are hungrier, sicker, and poorer than they were before.
All the while, what do we hear from Republicans? We hear that we need a ballroom, a reflecting pool, a helipad, a triumphal arch. We hear that we need Trump’s face on buildings and on our passports. We hear that we need to rename bodies of water. An endless parade of Trump’s lackeys back him up, chortling along because they think that they’ve got permanent protection so long as they’re in with Trump.
But while they might be in, you all are out.
You’re not in the gold-plated rooms. You’re not at Mar-a-Lago. You’re not in the White House ballroom. You’re not cashing out on the crypto scams and real estate deals and insider trades. The only time you’re in the in-crowd is the fleeting moments when Trump pretends that he’s one of you for votes. And his underlings follow his lead because they’ve watched the con work out so well. And they want a piece of it.
Don’t give them the satisfaction.
Regardless of the outcome tonight, to everyone who has worked for a better tomorrow, thank you. We live in an environment that is engineered to make us feel hopeless. Between masked ICE agents murdering people in the streets and Americans being stripped of food assistance and healthcare, this political environment is toxic. But still you fought for something better. And now we’re going to get it. We are going to effectively end Trump’s presidency and finally usher in Democratic majorities that will work for Americans, that will investigate the corruption, and that will put an end to this banana republic free-for-all that the rightwing swamp creatures have been wallowing in. We will have a government that works for us, that delivers for us, and it starts today.

Good luck from all of us watching from afar, for what is hopefully the beginning of the end for him and his lackeys.🇬🇧
