I only hear about or watch a handful of Democrats/Independents fighting. Every one of them should be screaming. Millions with no insurance, jobless and no hope in sight. Wake up. Learn what to do just like Senator Sanders, Senator Murphy, AOC and a handful of other reps. Do your job and fight for those that put you there. I get form letters when I write to my rep's or Senator and I will remember next time your seat is up.

Yes! Gonna steal and share:

“We also need to see contingents of them rotate and visit wherever the falsely imprisoned are being held from El Salvador to prisons from Florida to Texas standing up for the rights of these "chosen ones" whom Trump is literally dooming to a slow death in order to instill fear in us.

That is what an autocrat does. They choose the most vulnerable to instill fear. Fear mongering and whispering from those who are easily scared ensues and the power of the people is expunged and divided. “

I have asked for that from my representatives. But no actual ( not a form letter) reply. So gonna send again…

The gutting of our federal agencies and services is causing death and harm… but sending people without due process to gulags is a plan, that must be addressed! Not forgotten. Because they plan to do that to anyone and everyone who protested this takeover, if they can.

Honestly, blaming voters who choose not to participate in the show is hysterical.

Thinking that their vote would go Democrat is even more entertaining.

People who vote Democrat, typically follow politics, and people who don't follow politics are usually going to vote in their own self interest with no caveats. Do you think that sounds more like a republican vote or a Democrat vote?

You're mad at people who looked at the 2 party structure and decided to protest against it.

You are blaming protesters instead of perpetrators.

And because I have a different viewpoint, you are accusing me of helping Trump win the election...

And yet here you are, still wondering how the democrats manage to alienate more than half of American voters.

Look in the mirror and try accountability for your party's inability to win what should have been the easiest election in history.

There is no « messaging » issue. You only care about « messaging » if you care about lying. Democrats do what they are elected to do: governing, and in a 100% democratic we. We can only have a government FOR the people if it’s a government BY the people. If citizens refuse to do their duty as citizens and INFORM themselves and then vote, they will end up with a fascist regime. That’s not the fault of Democrats (all nonpartisan studies rank the Biden/Harris administration near the very top of all US administrations, in terms of achievements - while having to end both a violent GOP insurrection, a global pandemic, and then post-pandemic global inflation). That’s the fault of the two thirds of the American people who either didn’t vote or didn’t vote for Democrats.

Dizzly Decriminalized Dope's avatar

Ah, yes, the old ideology of asking the people who are too busy with their everyday lives (democrats heavily contributed to this) and who are not well enough educated to understand how to research policies and politician's voting records, etc (also a huge configuring by democrats).

Yes, messaging is FUCKING EVERYTHING YOU GOOD DAMN FUCKING MORON.

You are trying to SELL your ideas - MESSAGING IS GOD DAMN EVERYTHING.

You, and the people who claim "Democrats are great" are simply the reason we are here now.

Everything in life is a sales pitch, if you don't sell it then people won't buy it.

People bought MAGA. They sold emotion over facts - THEY READ THE ROOM and sold the product the American people were looking for. Meanwhile, democrats thought that going on the Joe Rogan show and even MAKING A SMALL ATTEMPT to connect to millions and millions of voters is...

Perhaps you don't understand the "sadly"...

Obviously we are stuck with these 2 parties.

It's in large part BECAUSE people like you consistently buy into the two party system that continues to pit senior citizen against senior citizen while thumbing your nose at those who believe differently.

Newsflash - if a third party was able to penetrate states by connecting with the majority of the country that is sick of both the republican and Democrat messaging, things could change. Instead, you spend your time telling them they are wasting their vote either way. Forcing them to vote for beliefs they don't believe in - how very arrogant of you - maybe change the way you communicate?

But hey, why not continue to spend your votes on parties that continue to prove they do not listen to our care about their constituents. Sounds good. No chance that could EVER result in a dictatorship, because we have checks and balances in place.

If you wonder why both dems and reps are referred to, quite accurately, as sheep - this is why.

It's rather difficult for the Dems to fight the agenda when an entire political party and, to a lesser degree, the Supreme Court are in Trump's back pocket. He didn't play by the rules in his first go-round. He's now breaking every conceivable norm, custom, law, and more that comes across his distorted view of what one's life should be about. The people who voted for this monstrosity are to blame for this second descent into chaos. We all lived it in 2016-2020. SCOTUS gave him the green light to do whatever the hell he wants if it is somehow related to the role of president, and Project 2025 gave him the plan. It was all in plain sight, yet we elected him to do what he's doing. The Dems share in the blame, but, ultimately, the electorate over the past 10 years wanted this. There will be hell to pay.

The Democrats should have put forward a platform that resonated with the needs and problems of the working class. That’s what they should be doing now, standing for something concrete and providing plans on how they’ll carry it out, e.g., taxing the rich, protecting Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, universal healthcare, saving the dismantled agencies, auditing military spending to stop waste, protecting First Amendment rights, etc.

You have a valid point. The Democrats need to understand that they can fight for their agenda, their beliefs, regardless of whether they are in the majority or in the minority. They should understand that there are Republican voters who will never, ever vote for Democrats, even if crossing over would be to their benefit.

Republicans have proved that they will fight for their beliefs no matter the costs, mainly because they rely, not on facts, but on blind faith. They have failed at times, yes, but they persevered regardless. Sometimes you can learn a thing or two from your opponents.

I am an Independent, and I have voted Democrat because their beliefs are more in line with my beliefs. But they need to be willing to fight and never give up. At this point, they have nothing left to lose; and yet, even ìf the Democrats lose some elections, if they stay true to their causes and beliefs, they can lose with honor.
