Someone in California commented yesterday about the Tubbs Fire in 2017, in which this person lost their home. They said FEMA was there immediately, offering help and relief at a true time of need.

The commander-in-chief in 2017 told the California Governor to sweep his state's forest floors clean before turning to him for aid.

Hurricane Helene has ripped through Red states and, no surprise, FEMA are there. So are Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. They don't see the colour of a state when disaster strikes, unlike the previous colourblind POTTY who only ever sees red.

The petty vindictive jackass withheld aid to California because it was a blue state. Notice how Joe Biden and Kamala are on the ball, reaching out to red states before the storm has even hit.

Here's a good article posted by "digby" featuring a hurricane survivor pissed about the lies and their effects.

Worth a look.

It's heartening to see Brian and Heather Cox Richardson and, finally, The New York Times and The Washington Post, beginning to talk about the fountain of lies being effectively used by the MAGA Republicans. Finally!

I remember the aftermath of WWII and the devastation and ugliness that was uncovered... all effectively begun with Hitler's well-planned and well-thought-out lies, created for the purpose of gathering power so he could become a powerful dictator.

Just like Trump, with his Project 2025, wants to be... worthy of an Orwellian Brave New World.

Republicans have no scruples about lying for political gain. Their exploitation of tragedy is so shameful. The media just moves on, adding to America's increasingly short attention span. Already tRump's Arlington stunt is gone from the national consciousness.

Again..... Thank you for giving us the Truth ! And yes, it is overwhelming and exhausting at times, but we will not give in to the MAGA bilge water. And it is heartening to see many republicans calling out Trump !

FL, GA, NC, SC, VA, and Tenn. What do they have in common?...Red States.

Who is being helped and knows the truth? All their residents.

Let's hope the lies the orange traitor is spreading is enough for those residents to realize that he belongs nowhere near our White House. Let's hope they vote accordingly to prevent that colossal asshole from causing anymore damage than he already has. Let's hope they realize that as Red States, he doesn't give a damn about THEM, either.

Let's hope they follow the example of other Republicans who cherish American Democracy who are voting for VP Harris and VOTE BLUE this election!

Well, we all know how that turned out. Now let's see how they react when they learn for themselves that the orange traitor lied to them grossly, and how the "news" outlets they watch brought those lies to them. They won't learn of it by continuing to listen to the lies, they'll learn when the economical reality hits them.

There's an excellent article in The Contrarian, "How to Drink From A Firehose. Similar to an old saw, "How to you eat an elephant." Answer, "One bite at a time." I think it makes great sense, focus on one lie at a time. That, with Trump's current aggressive "assistance" (his current flood on insanity, releasing a major drug dealer with two life sentences, releasing a pedophile, releasing the most violent of the Jan 6 felons), makes perfect sense, those three to start with. Will he also raise prices with his threatened tariffs? He already has much of the world criticizing hit actions! ... burning his own house down. Focusing on one lie at a time sounds like an excellent idea.

I hope Substack will allow this Contrarian link on "How to Drink from a Firehose": https://contrarian.substack.com/p/how-to-drink-from-a-firehose?utm_source=substack&publication_id=3719374&post_id=155593068&utm_medium=email&utm_content=share&utm_campaign=email-share&triggerShare=true&isFreemail=false&r=hvfto&triedRedirect=true
